Living in digital spaces affords programmers great control. Thus, nerds are such a remarkable group of people. I don't pursue such a life because it fosters escapism, but I love the community for its rationality, morals, and unconventionality. Although computer work has become conventional, xkcd continues to represent a group committed to openness, honesty, and realism.
In Connor's second thesis it is stated 'There is no fate but what we make for ourselves.' Does the routine destroy our creativity or do we lose creativity and fall into the routine? Anyway, who's up for a road trip!
